Long-term Resident Qualifications

Who is a long-term resident? Read on!

Long-term residents include those who meet the following qualifications:

  1. Do not have a BIMS score on the MDS as 7 or lower. (Skip this step if the BIMS score is unavailable.)
  2. Do not have a legally court-appointed guardian.
  3. Are not on hospice, as recorded on the MDS as Hospice (O0100K1 = 1).
  4. Have been in your care for 100 days or more.
